Lansdale Catholic Students Make Dream Come True for 11-Year-Old Boy

Lansdale Catholic Students not only raised more than $12,000 for Make-a-Wish Foundation but they also made one boy's dream come true.

A local boy had the night of his life Friday, thanks to the football players and students at Lansdale Catholic.

Lansdale Catholic students dedicated their homecoming to the Make-a-Wish Foundation. Students not only raised more than $12,000 for the foundation but they also made Kevin Smith’s dream come true.

Kevin, a Lansdale resident who suffers from a rare for of epilepsy, had always wanted to play football but couldn’t because of his condition. That changed Friday, when the team invited him to play at the end of the first quarter of the Homecoming game.

Dressed in uniform, Kevin was named an honorary captain for the play, Fox 29 reported.

Lansdale Catholic’s effort to support Kevin and the Make-a-Wish Foundation generated media coverage throughout the Philadelphia region, including fromNBC10, 6ABC and Fox29.
