3 Lower Merion Roads Affected By Water Main Work Through Spring

Aqua PA said it will be installing new water mains on three roads in the township, with work to be completed in spring 2018.

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA – Aqua PA is looking to improve water infrastructure in Lower Merion Township and is spending more than half a million dollars to do so.

Three roads in the township are seeing new water main installation that is expected to be complete in spring 2018.

A total $543,000 is being spent to install 2,559 feet of 8-inch and 12-inch ductile iron pipe to replace existing cast iron mains, Aqua said.

Work is being done on these Lower Merion Roads.

  • Lakeside Road, from West Wynnewood Road to Argyle Road
  • Midfield Road, from Lakeside Road to Argyle Road
  • Argyle Road, from West Wynnewood Road to Chatham Road

The project will increase service reliability, reduce the potential for discolored water and improve firefighting capabilities in the area, according to the utility company.
