$50K Awarded To Ardmore Initiative For Beautification

The money will help the group improve façades in the business district, according to Gov. Tom Wolf's office.

ARDMORE, PA – Gov. Tom Wolf announced recently that Ardmore will be seeing a chunk of $3.8 million that was disbursed to various areas across the state as part of the the Keystone Communities program.

The Ardmore Initiative is getting $50,000 for the designated Keystone Main Street program to continue implementation of the façade improvement program in the Ardmore Business District.

The project will help improve at least 10 façades, according to Wolf's announcement.

“We are making impactful investments to revitalize communities and strengthen business development efforts," Wolf said in the announcement. "This important influx of funds will go a long way toward improving the quality of life in neighborhoods throughout the state."

The Keystone Communities program is designed to encourage the creation of partnerships between the public and private sectors in the community, supporting local initiatives that grow and stabilize neighborhoods and communities; ensure social and economic diversity; and enhance the overall quality of life for residents.

Such partnerships create more attractive places to live and will encourage business and job expansion and retention in Pennsylvania, Wolf's office said.
