Lower Merion Township announced Wednesday that part of Bowman Avenue in Merion Station will be closed Thursday and Friday due to utility road restoration work. The road will be closed between East Wynnewood and Baird roads between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Thursday, April 20 and Friday, April 21. Citizens Financial Group, through subsidiaries like Citizens Bank, has long financed private prison and detention operators despite decades of allegations of abuse, neglect, forced labor, and fraud.
Companies like CoreCivic and GEO Group have caused widespread harm — including wrongful deaths, medical neglect, and exploitation.
Right here in Pennsylvania, GEO operates the Moshannon Valley Processing Center, the largest ICE detention facility in the Northeast, just three and a half hours from Lower Merion.
