Car Break-Ins Prompt Lower Merion Police To Issue Safety Tips
Lower Merion Police recently reported numerous thefts from vehicles across parts of the township. Follow these tips to avoid being a victim.
LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — After a rash of thefts from vehicles across the township, Lower Merion Police issued tips to help residents avoid becoming victims themselves.
According to police, thefts from vehicles occurred Feb. 11 to Feb. 13, Feb. 16, and Feb. 19. On Feb. 19, police reported six thefts from vehicles alone.
Police said in many instances, vehicles that have been rifled through by criminals are left unlocked and urged residents to lock their vehicles.

No valuables should be left in vehicles, police said.
Due to vehicle break-ins largely occurring at night, police said residents should park in well-lit areas.
