City Ave. Affected By 2 Projects Next Week

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA – Two PennDOT projects will affect City Avenue traffic in Lower Merion Township next week.
According to PennDOT, a right lane closure is scheduled on City Avenue between 66th Street and 71st Street in Lower Merion Township on Tuesday, Sept. 5.
The closure will be in place between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m, PennDOT said.

Additionally, Aqua PA is scheduled to close Belmont Avenue weekdays between Rock Hill Road and City Avenue in Lower Merion Township. The closure will be place through Friday, Sept. 8, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., for water main installation, PennDOT said.
During construction, Belmont Avenue motorists will be detoured over Rock Hill Road, Conshohocken State Road and City Avenue.

Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because slowdowns will occur during construction. The schedule is weather dependent.
