City Ave., I-76 Affected By Work In Lower Merion

LOWER MERION, PA – Lower Merion Township will have two roads in the area affected by work starting Monday, PennDOT said.
According to PennDOT, lane closures are scheduled on northbound and southbound City
Avenue between Wynnewood Avenue and Bala Avenue in Philadelphia and Lower Merion Township.
The closures will be in place from 9 a..m to 3 p.m. Monday, June 5, though Friday, June 9.

Crews will be working on traffic signal installations, PennDOT said.
The work part of the $2.9 million project to improve travel and safety on a three-mile section of City Avenue between Interstate 76 and Lancaster Avenue by installing adaptive traffic signals to improve traffic flow and pedestrian safety along the corridor.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area. The contractor’s schedule is dependent on the weather.
The work is The project is scheduled to finish in November 2017.
Also starting Monday is an overnight lane closure on Interstate 76 West in the township.
PennDOT said one lane of the highway will be closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday, June 5 through Thursday, June 8 between between the City Avenue and Belmont Avenue/Green Lane interchanges in the township.
Additionally, the right lane of 76 west will close Monday June 5 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. between the City Avenue and Belmont Avenue/Green Lane interchanges.
