Cricket Avenue Closing Friday For Sewer Work

Lower Merion Township announced Thursday that Cricket Avenue in Ardmore will be closed Friday for sewer work.

Cricket Avenue will be closed between Lancaster Avenue to West Athens Avenue as crews work on a sewer extension project from the Cricket Avenue parking lot (lot #4).

Work is to be done between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.

The township said Cricket Terrace and Rittenhouse Place will be affected by the work, as well.

Flagmen will be in place to help residents who wish to park into the Schauffele Plaza parking lot (lot #6) or the Cricket Terrace permit lot (lot #5).

Local traffic will be able to get into South Cricket Terrace, the township said.

Emergency vehicles will not be able to get through the intersection of Cricket Ave. and Cricket Terrace due to the use of heavy equipment, according to the township.
