ARDMORE, PA – Cricket Avenue in Ardmore is closing for several hours Tuesday, Aug. 29, according to Lower Merion Township. The township said the road will close between Lancaster Avenue and Cricket Terrace from 9 a.m. to noon. A crane will be installing a rooftop air conditioning unit at 6 W. Lancaster Ave. Due to the crane, emergency vehicles, residents, and buses will not have access through the closed section, the township said. Patch file photo

Citizens Financial Group, through subsidiaries like Citizens Bank, has long financed private prison and detention operators despite decades of allegations of abuse, neglect, forced labor, and fraud.
Companies like CoreCivic and GEO Group have caused widespread harm — including wrongful deaths, medical neglect, and exploitation.
Right here in Pennsylvania, GEO operates the Moshannon Valley Processing Center, the largest ICE detention facility in the Northeast, just three and a half hours from Lower Merion.
