Fiber Optic Line Work Could Delay East Lancaster Avenue Traffic For Several Days

Verizon crews will work in two to three block chunks over five to seven days, the township said.

Fiber optic cable work will cause delays on East Lancaster Avenue in the Ardmore and Wynnewood sections of Lower Merion Township for several days, the township said.

Verizon crews will be working on fiber optic cables, pulling new cables fro m manhole to manhole, the township said.

Crews are working from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily for the next five to seven days, according to the township.

The work will take place in two to three block sections with each section expected to take one day.

While the work will not close the road, it is expected to cause delays over the work period, the township said.

The work will began Tuesday between Rittenhouse Place and Church Road and the township said crews will move east, heading toward City Avenue, on East Lancaster Avenue as work progresses daily.
