I-76 Overnight Lane Closures Begin Sunday Night
The could seriously snarl traffic on the highway, so drivers may want to find another route.

Overnight lane closures are scheduled on eastbound and westbound Interstate 76 throughout the week.
Closures will be between Interstate 476 and U.S. 1 City Avenue in West Conshohocken Borough and Lower Merion Township, PennDOT said.
Crews will be working on milling, overlay ,and concrete patching operations as part of a project to repair and resurface 12.5 miles of the expressway, according to PennDOT.

The work schedule is:
- Sunday, Aug. 6, through Thursday, Aug. 10, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, lane restrictions are scheduled on eastbound and westbound I-76 between I-476 and City Avenue;
- Friday, Aug. 11, from 9 p.m. to 9 a.m. the following morning, lane restrictions are scheduled on eastbound I-76 between I-476 and City Avenue; and
- Saturday, Aug. 12, from 9 p.m. to 9 a.m. the following morning, lane restrictions are scheduled on eastbound and westbound I-76 between I-476 and City Avenue.
All scheduled activities are weather dependent, PennDOT said.

Motorists are advised to use an alternate route or allow extra time when traveling on I-76 in the work area because backups and delays will occur.
