Lower Merion Citizen's Police Academy Begins In March

Sign up now, as space is limited to 15 participants.

Lower Merion Police are now taking applications for residents who want to to get an inside look at how the men and women who serve their community.

The Lower Merion Citizen's Police Academy begins March 2 and applications are being accepted now through Feb. 17.

Space is limited to 15 participants, so get your application in as soon as possible.

Applications are available online here and at the Lower Merion Police Department, 71 E. Lancaster Ave., Admore. Online applications can be forwarded to police@lowermerion.org to apply.

Classes run every Thursday from 7 p.m. to about 9 p.m., March 2 through April 20.

Participants will learn about the police officers' duties through classroom and real life demonstrations on crime scene investigations, K9 units, traffic stops, accident investigations, and much more.
