Lower Merion Closes Fords Thursday
With heavy rain predicted in the area, the township closed the fords out of public safety concerns.

Lower Merion Township said weather has closed all the township's fords Thursday, April 6.
According to the National Weather Service, nearly half of all flash flood deaths are vehicle related and the national 30-year average for flood deaths is 127.
The township closed its fords last week due to heavy rains as well.
