Lower Merion Environmental Advisory Council Holding Logo Design Contest For Kids
School-age kids can submit their logo design now through April 20 to be recognized at the EAC's "Go for the Green Awards" in May.

Lower Merion Township's Environmental Advisory Council is putting out a call to all school-aged kids with a knack for art and design, as the EAC is in search of a logo designed by township students.
According to the EAC, kids in Kindergarten through 12th grade can submit their logo design now through 5 p.m. April 20.
Kids can submit as many logos as they would like to use, the EAC said.

Winners will be selected by a panel of EAC volunteers on April 25, and the winner will be recognized at the EAC's Go for the Green Awards ceremony at 6 p.m. on May 9 at the Appleford Estate – 770 Mt. Moro Road, Villanova – as well as on the township's Facebook page.

Students from any school – public or private – in the township can submit entries.
The EAC said the logo should be designed with the council's objectives which are to promote and conserve natural resources of the township and to protect and improve the quality of the environment within the township.
Entries must be original works, cannot have been published anywhere else before, and designed using computer software. A maximum of three colors are allowed in the logo and the logo must feature the wording "Lower Merion Township EAC."
All entries must be submitted with a .jpg format and the designer's information – full name, age, contact number, and personal email – must be included with the submission. Entrants who are under 18 years old, parent or legal guardian information must also be included.
Each entry must has a description of the logo.
