Lower Merion Police Blotter: Same 7-Eleven Hit By Armed Robberies Twice In Two Days

Lower Merion Township Police released information on the crimes that occurred in its jurisdiction in the first week of January and last week of December.

Jan. 6

At about 10:30 p.m., and armed robbery occurred at the 7-Eleven at 1401 City Line Ave. Two light skinned black males who were about 6 feet tall entered the store displaying a gun. The men demanded the clerk empty the cash register. Both males were wearing dark jackets and had scarves covering their faces.

Jan. 5

At about 5:45 a.m., an armed robbery occurred at the same 7-Eleven in the Jan. 6 incident. A suspect entered the store, threw a hot drink at the clerk and threatened them with a crowbar. The suspect, who is a 20 to 25 year old light skinned black male, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall with a medium build and was wearing a heavy coat, made away with cash.

Jan. 3

Sometime between Dec. 30 at 6:30 a.m. and Jan. 2 at 3 p.m., a residential burglary occurred in the 1000 Block of North Lane. The suspect or suspects entered the residence by forcing the back door open. Once inside the suspects removed watches, cash, firearms and a gunsafe.

Jan. 2

Sometime between Dec. 30th at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Jan. 1, a residential burglary occurred in the 800 block of Roscommon Road, Bryn Mawr.The suspect or suspects entered the residence by forcing the front door open. Once inside the suspects removed jewelry, handbags and car keys.

On Dec. 30 at about 4 a.m., an armed robbery occurred at the Wawa Store, 189 Belmont Ave., Bala Cynwyd. The male suspect threatened the clerk with a hammer and stole numerous cartons of cigarettes. The suspect in this incident is a white male in his 40s with a grey beard and was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and black sneakers.
