Lower Merion Road Work For This Week: City Avenue, Interstate 76 And 476 Affected

PennDOT announced planned work that will affect roads in Lower Merion Township this week and Patch has all the relevant info to make your travels easier.
According to PennDOT, lane closures are scheduled for north and southbound lanes on City Avenue/U.S. Route 1 beginning Monday, Feb. 6 and ending Friday, Feb. 10.
From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., a single lane closure is scheduled on southbound City Avenue between Conshohocken State Road/Route 23 and 63rd Street. Additionally, a single lane closure is scheduled on northbound City Avenue at the Lapsley Lane and Kings Grant Drive intersections from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The work is part of the $2.9 million safety improvement project and includes traffic signal upgrades and curb ramp installations related, PennDOT said.
Drivers should plan for travel extra time when going through the work area.

Work on Interstate 76 and Interstate 476 is also planned for the week, PennDOT said.
According to PennDOT, intermittent lane closures are scheduled on eastbound and westbound I-76 between City Avenue and the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Lower Merion for debris removal.
The closures will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday Feb. 6 through Thursday Feb. 9.
PennDOT also said intermittent lane closures are scheduled on northbound and southbound I-476 between the Pennsylvania Turnpike and County Line Road in West Conshohocken Borough and Lower Merion Township, for debris removal.
The closures will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday Feb. 6 through Thursday Feb. 9.
Motorists should allow extra time when traveling through these work zones.
