Man Shot In Head Just Outside Lower Merion Township: Philadelphia Police

The 31-year-old victim is listed in extremely critical condition after the late Wednesday night shooting, Philadelphia Police said.

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA – A man was shot in the head just outside Lower Merion Township in Philadelphia's Overbrook section late Wednesday night, according to police.

The fatal shooting occurred at about 11:32 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27 on the 1100 block of North 63rd Street, police said.

Officers responded to the area for a report of a shooting and when they arrived they found a 31-year-old male lying on the road with a gunshot to the head, police said.

The unresponsive man was rushed to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center where he is listed in extremely critical condition, police said.

Police did not provide a description of the suspect and are investigating the incident.
