Matsonford Road Closing Daily Through Mid October

PennDOT said bridge repair work will last for months and will force drivers over a detour.

LOWER MERION, PA – Matsonford Road in Lower Merion Township will be closed for months due to SEPTA bridge repair work, according to PennDOT.

The road will close between Montgomery Avenue and Old Guph Road in Upper Merion and Lower Merion, PennDOT said.

Work will occur daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., PennDOT said.

During construction, Matsonford Road motorists will be detoured over Montgomery Avenue and Old Gulph Road, PennDOT said.

Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone.

The work is expected to be complete by mid October, PennDOT said.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because slowdowns will occur during construction.
