Montgomery Ave. Sidewalk Closing For 2 Days

Crews will be working on stabilizing the retaining wall around the Merion Friends Meeting House.

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA – The sidewalk along Montgomery Avenue between Meeting House Lane and Haverford Road will be closed for two days, according to Lower Merion Township.

The township said work on stabilizing a retaining wall around the Merion Friends Meeting House is causing the closure, which will be in place Monday, Sept. 25 and Tuesday, Sept. 26.

Signs will be in place at the nearest crosswalk to advise pedestrians of the closure.

Work should be completed on Tuesday in time for the sidewalk to be opened for pedestrians in advance of the Yom Kippur Holiday, the township said.
