LOWER MERION, PA – A Lower Merion Township road will close for three days to accommodate water main and service work, according to the township. North Merion Avenue will be closed between West Lancaster Avenue and Morton Road from Monday July 17 through Wednesday July 19. The road will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Crews will be working in front of the Bryn Mawr Fire House. Closing this section of the road is the best way to ensure that any fire calls can be addressed with normal response time by the Fire Company, the township said. Companies like CoreCivic and GEO Group have caused widespread harm — including wrongful deaths, medical neglect, and exploitation.
Right here in Pennsylvania, GEO operates the Moshannon Valley Processing Center, the largest ICE detention facility in the Northeast, just three and a half hours from Lower Merion.
