PennDOT Work To Affect Interstate 76 Next Week In The Lower, Upper Merion Area

PennDOT work will cause travel restrictions next week on Interstate 76 in Montgomery County for maintenance operations, according to the department.

The work schedule, which is weather dependent, is Monday, Jan. 9 through Thursday, Jan. 12, PennDOT said.

Work will be done between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

It will cause intermittent lane closures on eastbound and westbound I-76 between U.S. Route 1/City Avenue and the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Lower Merion and Upper Merion townships and West Conshohocken Borough for road sweeping, PennDOT said.

Motorists traveling through the are should allow extra travel time or consider alternate routes.
