Reminder: Alex's 'Original' Lemonade Stand Saturday At Penn Wynne Elementary
Don't miss the event being held at the late Alexandra "Alex" Scott's own elementary school.
WYNNEWOOD, PA – Penn Wynne Elementary School in Wynnewood is honoring one of their late students whose mission to raise money for children battling cancer is now a national movement. The school will honor Alexandra "Alex" Scott, founder of Alex's Lemonade Stand, Saturday with a carnival-like event that will raise money to constitute the fight against childhood cancer.
To celebrate Alex's Lemonade Days – during which thousands of supporters around the country host a lemonade stand or an event to raise money for much needed childhood cancer research – the school is holding the Alex's "Original" Lemonade Stand event. Lemonade Days last from June 3 to June 11.
The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on June 10 at Penn Wynne Elementary, 250 Haverford Road, Wynnewood.

The day will be filled with food, games, crafts, face-painting, music, a butterfly release to celebrate the lives of all children fighting cancer as well as those who lost their life to the disease, raffles, and of course lemonade.
In addition, Alex’s parents and brothers will attend the event, as well as several other childhood cancer heroes and their families.

Admission to the event is free, but supporters can purchase Alex’s All Access Pass online here, which covers all donations for food and activities plus a t-shirt.
Attendees can also enter a raffle to win a 2017 Volvo XC60 at the event. Individual tickets are $25 or $200 for a book of 10 tickets. All proceeds benefit Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation as Volvo, a founding sponsor, donated the car for this year's raffle. Winner need not be present at the event to claim the prize.

Last year, the original lemonade stand event raised more than $100,000 was generated to help fight childhood cancer.
Alex was only 4 years old when she decided to open a lemonade stand to raise money to find cures for kids, like her, battling childhood cancer.
Though Alex passed away in 2004, her family and friends carry on her tradition of her annual summertime lemonade stands to fight childhood cancer.
Alex’s “Original” is presented by Country Time and Volvo, with additional support from the Rigler family, Lehigh Valley Dairy Farms, Sila Heating & Air Conditioning, Dr. Ian Thomas-Springfield Orthodontics and Sabrina’s Café.
