Lancaster Ave. Closing Overnight Friday And Saturday In Lower Merion

Lancaster Avenue in Lower Merion Township will be closed overnight Friday and Saturday, according to Lower Merion Township.

Initially the closures were planned for Thursday and Friday.

Lancaster Avenue/U.S. Route 30 will be closing at 6:30 p.m. Friday and will reopen at 5:30 a.m. Saturday, according to the township.

Then at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, the road will close again until 5:30 a.m. Sunday, the township said.

The road will be closed between Ardmore Avenue and Rittenhouse Place for sewer installation, PennDOT said.

Motorists on Lancaster Avenue will be detoured over Ardmore Avenue, School Lane, Cricket Avenue, Athens Avenue and Rittenhouse Place, PennDOT said.

Motorists traveling in the area should plan for added travel time or consider alternate routes.
