Road Work To Affect Roads In Lower Merion Township
Interstates 76 and 476, as well as City Avenue will be affected.

Various work will affect roads in Lower Merion Township this week, as work on the interstate and City Avenue is scheduled to take place, PennDOT announced recently.
PennDOT said from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Jan. 30 to Friday Feb. 3, lane closures are planned on City Avenue/U.S. Route 1 as PennDOT contractors will be working on part of a $2.9 million safety improvement project.
According to PennDOT the closures are:

- a single lane closure is scheduled on southbound U.S. 1 (City Avenue) between Wynnewood Road and 59th Street/Raynham Road
- a single lane closure is scheduled on northbound U.S. 1 (City Avenue) at Lapsley Lane.
The work schedule is weather dependent and motorists traveling in this area should plan for extra time or consider alternate routes.
Additionally, work on Interstates 76 and 476 will affect traffic in the area, PennDOT said.

The work, which entails sweeping and debris removal, is scheduled to take place 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. beginning Monday, Jan. 30 and ending Thursday, Feb. 2
- intermittent lane closures are scheduled on eastbound and westbound Interstate 76 between the PA Turnpike and County Line Road in Conshohocken Borough, Upper Merion and Lower Merion townships, Montgomery County, for sweeping and debris removal
- intermittent lane closures are scheduled on northbound and southbound I-476 between West Conshohocken Borough, Plymouth and Lower Merion townships, Montgomery County, for sweeping and debris removal
