Tuesday Happy Hour In Ardmore To Benefit Friends Of Linwood Park

Your purchases from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. will help the Friends of Linwood Park keep the park a prime destination in the township.

Anyone in the Lower Merion area who enjoys Linwood Park's amenities may want to clear their schedule Tuesday night, as McCloskey's in Ardmore is hosting a happy hour benefit for the Friends of Linwood Park.

From 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuedsay, Feb. 7, 25 percent of food and drink purchased at McCloskey's will go to the Friends of Linwood Park.

All you need to do is mention the Friends of Linwood Park when you order your items or when you are going to pay your tab.

All the money raised at the happy four will go directly back into the park to purchase items such as mulch, tools and gloves, chalk and supplies for Chalk Mob, decorations for the Memorial Day Parade, perennials, trees and shrubs, and more, the group said.

McCloskey's is also hosting Quizzo at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, so you may even want to stay and test your brain power after helping the park.

"These smaller fundraisers are replacing the larger Pints for the Park of years past so please try to stop by one of them throughout the year," the group said on Facebook. "We will be moving around Ardmore so you can get a taste of all great local food and drink and people. We rely on the neighborhood of Ardmore to support us and you do!"

McCloskey's is located at 17 Cricket Ave., Ardmore.

Friends of Linwood Park supports the development, maintenance, and beneficial use of Linwood Park for all residents of Lower Merion Township and beyond.
