Wynnewood Train Death Ruled Suicide: Montco Coroner

The Montgomery County Coroner's office identified the decedent as a 20-year-old Wynnewood man in the Jan. 10 incident in Wynnewood.

WYNNEWOOD, PA – The person who died after being struck by a train on Wednesday, Jan. 10 has been identified as a Wynnewood man, according to the Montgomery County Coroner's office.

Russell Peck, 20, of Wynnewood, was hit by an Amtrak train at about 10:36 a.m. near the Wynnewood station.

The coroner's office said Peck died from blunt impact of the head, torso, and extremities.

His death has been ruled a suicide, according to the coroner's office.

Amtrak said the person was trespassing on the tracks when he was hit by a train heading form Harrisburg to New York City.
