Students Walk raising awareness & funds!
Students, faculty and parents participated in a walkathon through Narberth and the surrounding community as the students participated in a grade 3-8 major walk around Narberth for 5K and the mini-walk for grades PK-2 while raising funds for school capital expenses. Students,
faculty and parents joined in the fun wearing SMS spirit wear to raise awareness and funds. Updating technology through support of new technology for every day use in the classrooms is just one component of curriculum integration
for the PK to 8th grade Catholic elementary school. Capital funding has benefited educational opportunities at St.
Margaret School as well as improvements to buildings and grounds.
This year’s walkathon was coordinated by parent volunteers led by Heather Schaffer, mother to Paige, 7th
grade; JT – 5th grade and Dalton in pre-kindergarten. Heather reported over $10,000 has been raised to date.
