New Horizons Music Arts Week--First Day

New Horizons is Hosting a Music Arts Week from Aug 1 -- 4. Learn about music, hear concerts, and enjoy music from around the world!

New Horizons offers a Music Arts week in the first week of August for all adults 55+. On the first day, learn about musical dreams, and hear how the recorder is used in all types of musical expression.

Together they make beautiful music. This story highlights pursuing your dream and the power of music to connect us all. A great way to start off a week of music arts performances and presentations.

1:00 Elissa Berardi: Concert & Conversation

New Horizons' Director and acclaimed recorderist Elissa Berardi will present a "Concert and Conversation", playing selections and discussing music from the 17th and 18th centuries. This program will include music from Holland, England and the court of Louis XIV and even a traditional Native American dance piece demonstrating the beauty and universality of the recorder.

New Horizons Senior Center has been providing a wide array of programs and services to appeal to the interests, talents, and desires of local seniors since 1976, keeping them active, engaged, and independent. The Center will be closed for the remainder of August and will reopen Tuesday, September 5.
