New Horizons Music Week Arts Week--Third Day

New Horizons offers a Music Arts week in the first week of August for all adults 55+. On the third day, learn all about musical composition, and enjoy a delightful performance on the ukelele, given by a talented trio of musicians.

10:30 "How Do Composers Compose?” Kathleen Pierson, Master of Music (Composition), music theory and history teacher, will sing, play piano and guitar, and explain the mystery of composing music in this fun, entertaining and interactive presentation.

1:00 Schuylkill Valley Boys: Performance of classic Irish and Folk music, country- western, big band and Broadway tunes--all performed on ukuleles. A good time will be had by all! Singing along is encouraged!

New Horizons Senior Center has been providing a wide array of programs and services to appeal to the interests, talents, and desires of local seniors since 1976, keeping them active, engaged, and independent.
