The Passion Behind the Fashion: Debbie Lupin Blank

You can take a girl out of the fashion world, but you can’t take the fashion out of the girl. This is the case for fashion consultant and style junkie, Debbie Lupin Blank. Debbie has found a new home in the fashion world at Cashinmybag.com as the new Retail Director. Before joining the team, Debbie had some significant fashion experience under her belt, experience that she continues to use as a tool to transform the appearance of the world, one subtle change at a time.

So what made Debbie want to pursue a career in fashion? “I really wanted to break away from the roles of my family and make a career out of something that I love doing,” the fashionista tells us. “Happiness is the most important thing in life. I thought to myself ‘hey, I love fashion, so why not make a career out of it?’” And that is exactly what she set out to do.

It didn’t take long until her dreams became a reality. Debbie packed up and moved to New York City where she obtained her Associate’s degree in Fashion and her Bachelor’s in English Literature. From there her career quickly took off as she dedicated 20 years to showroom sales in the New York City Garment District.

Soon the fashion expert found herself tackling her newest project: marriage. Debbie moved back to her Philadelphia roots where she tied the knot with her husband, another fellow Philadelphian. “Leaving the Big Apple behind to get married was bittersweet,” Debbie explains, “I was so stoked to embark on this new life journey with my husband and be closer to my family in the Blue Bell area, but I was hoping to continue pursuing my fashion career.” Luckily, it didn’t take long to execute this plan.

She continued building her resume and expanding her skills in the fashion world by going to work at Boyd’s of Philadelphia shortly after returning home, honing her many talents by involving herself with managing, buying and selling for roughly 8 years. Later, she brought her skills to Neiman Marcus in King of Prussia, where she served as a personal shopper for 12 years. “I have worked hard and been very lucky in my career,” Debbie reflects.
