The Rose Group Raises $770,000 for Charity Through Fundraising Efforts During the First Half of 2014

NEWTOWN, Pa. — Sept. 16, 2014 — The Rose Group, a leading franchisee of Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar and Corner Bakery Cafe restaurants, announced today that its local stores have raised an impressive $770,657.44 for various charities throughout Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey.

In the Eastern Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey areas, 41Applebee’s and eight Corner Bakery Cafe locations raised a combined total of $551,543.82 throughout Q1 & Q2, which ranged from Jan. 1 through July 15, 2014. The following are the Top five Applebee’s and Top five Corner Bakery Cafe locations that raised the most through store events:

1. Ridley, Pa., Applebee’s with $23,854.00

2. Bensalem, Pa., Applebee’s with $20,296.50

3. Montgomeryville, Pa., Applebee’s with $19,978.00

4. Lionville, Pa., Applebee’s with $19,253.00

5. Newtown, Pa., Applebee’s with $18,272.00

6. Horsham, Pa., Corner Bakery Cafe with $6,312.46

7. Newtown, Pa., Corner Bakery Cafe with $5,805.58

8. Bala Cynwyd, Pa., Corner Bakery Cafe with $4,424.50

9. Princeton, N.J., Corner Bakery Cafe with $3,152.12

10. Moorestown, N.J., Corner Bakery Cafe with $2,689.20

In addition to supporting a wide variety of charitable organizations, a large portion of The Rose Group’s fundraising efforts is focused on Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF). For 10 years, The Rose Group’s Applebee’s and Corner Bakery Cafe locations have organized and participated in local events with the sole purpose of raising money for ALSF, raising a collective total of $3.2 million.

Just last month, The Rose Group was awarded The Philadelphia Business Journal’s coveted Corporate Giving Award, recognizing their dedication and support to local communities through charitable contributions.
