Scholarship@Villanova Lecture featuring Rodger Van Allen, PhD

Please join us on Wednesday, November 4 at 3:00 p.m. in room 205 of Falvey Memorial Library for a Scholarship@Villanova lecture featuring Rodger Van Allen, PhD, professor in the Department of Theology and Religious Studies. Dr. Van Allen will discuss “The Call to Holy Worldliness,” a fundamental theme in his teaching and research.

Dr. Van Allen’s presentation will take an autobiographical-narrative approach, reflecting on the academic vocation, his path through six decades and the people who helped him through the years. Dr. Van Allen’s career has encompassed monastic life, high school teaching and coaching, graduate school and fifty-two years of serving scholarship and the 11,303 students who enrolled in his classes.

This event is more than a Scholarship@Villanova lecture. It is a farewell to Dr. Van Allen and a celebration of his many decades of service here at Villanova. You will not want to miss this unique presentation.
