The ranking highlights course design, routing, and greens quality, and places Bedford’s course ahead of well-known destinations like Nemacolin, Hershey, and Glen Mills. 
• Road restrictions set ahead of ‘Big Boy' locomotive entering Blair County region (wtaj.com) — PennDOT is warning drivers in Bedford County and surrounding areas to use extra caution when traveling to see Union Pacific’s massive ‘Big Boy’ steam locomotive as it passes through the region in July 2026. Expect restricted shoulder parking, special-event road closures, and message boards directing traffic near popular viewing spots to keep both railfans and motorists safe.
• Bedford family left homeless after cars crash into house in two separate incidents (wtaj.com) — A Bedford County family living along Route 36 in Woodbury Township has been forced from their home after a second car in one month crashed into their house, leading officials to deem it unsafe. The resident describes speeding traffic on a nearby bend and says he’s now without both a car and a place to live while his landlord works on possible options.
