• Middletown Train Station on Track for Christmas Soft Opening (thewinchestergazette.com) — Renovations to Middletown’s historic train station are on schedule, with the town aiming for a soft opening around Christmastime. New landscaping, including 27 trees, exterior carpentry, and interior insulation are largely complete, with inspections, drywall, and painting coming next. Town staff, volunteers, and local businesses are all pitching in to create a welcoming community space.
   

• Out of the Attic: New Freedom House exhibition invites you into Monday Robinson's life (alextimes.com) — A new traveling exhibition on Monday Robinson’s life, first created at Belle Grove Plantation in Middletown, is now on display at Alexandria’s Freedom House Museum through Dec. 31. The show traces Robinson’s journey through enslavement, freedom, and complex family choices using wills, court orders, and other records. It also highlights his later years living in Middletown and Frederick County.
