Revised Tallmadge plan shrinks data center buildings (nvdaily.com) ā A newly revised plan for the $4.5 billion Project Tallmadge data center in Strasburgās industrial park would shrink building size and computing capacity by about 60%, while adding natural gas turbines, diesel generators, and a large propane yard. Town officials are just beginning to review the submission, which also includes a new sewer pump station deal and promises of long-term tax benefits for Strasburg.

2. Route 11 Yard Crawl (wmra.org) ā Strasburg will be in the middle of the 43-mile Route 11 Yard Crawl this Saturday, Aug. 8, giving residents a chance to shop or sell along Old Valley Pike. The all-day event links Strasburg with neighboring towns from New Market to Stephens City, with maps, participating businesses, and a Passport Challenge available online for planners.

3. Strasburg's Dellinger leads area golfers in Curly Licklider tourney (nvdaily.com) ā Strasburg Highās golf team opened its season strong as senior Gavin Dellinger fired a 77 to lead all area golfers at the Curly Licklider Tournament in Front Royal. Strasburg finished just four strokes behind Sherando in the team standings, with several Rams turning in solid rounds that have coaches optimistic about the season ahead.

RON gala shines a light on community service, education, advocacy (nvdaily.com subscription) ā A regional leadership gala in Winchester honored educators, first responders, and community advocates while also spotlighting local students. Strasburg readers will note that Strasburg Highās Iris Shrader earned a YES Leadership Program scholarship and multiple volunteer and service awards, highlighting local youth leadership alongside Skyline and Warren County students.
