903 Responses In 2022 For Bensalem Township Fire Rescue
Bensalem's unit was involved in 786 fire incidents, including one that investigators deemed as arson in mid-December.

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —The Bensalem Township Fire Rescue had quite a busy year in 2022.
The township's career fire department posted on Facebook its statistics for assisting with emergency incidents.
Bensalem Fire Rescue responded to 903 incidents last year.

Of those, 786 were for fire incidents while 117 were for medical emergencies dubbed as QRS responses.
The rescue also held 41 investigations.

Bensalem Township Mayor Joseph DiGirolamo and township council often cite its public safety —its police and fire departments and rescue units —as being among the best in Bucks County.
Among the biggest incidents last year for the squad were:
- A fire at a Bridgewater Road building that Bensalem Fire Rescue deemed as arson in mid-December.
- A late November fire at a Knights Road apartment complex.
- A high-pressure gas line leak in mid-October prompted some evacuations of residents.
- An attempted water rescue of a man whose car went into the Neshaminy Creek in late October.
Bensalem Fire Rescue also is involved with numerous training activities and community outreach programs throughout the year.
