Bucks Co. Middle School Student Killed In Halloween Shooting
Bensalem Police seek the vehicle where the shots were fired on Bristol Pike after a large group of teens were fighting Tuesday night.

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —The 14-year-old boy who was shot and killed has been identified as a Snyder Middle School student, police said.
Meanwhile, Bensalem Police are urging people to come forward as they seek to find the shooter who injured two others after shots were fired from a parked vehicle around Bristol Pike Tuesday night, police said.

Bensalem Police are investigating the cause of the shooting at 2600 Bristol Pike that happened at 7:35 p.m. Tuesday in the area of Bristol Pike and Woodbine Avenue where a large group of juveniles were fighting.
Peter Romano, a 14-year-old student at Snyder Middle School and a Bensalem resident, was shot in the chest and was pronounced dead upon arrival, police said.

The other 2 victims were 17 years old and 19 years old.
The 19-year-old male was treated for gunshot wounds to his lower extremities and released Tuesday night, police said.
The 17-year-old is still in the hospital in stable condition and will receive surgery to repair injuries to both legs.
All three victims were transported to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital.
Notifications have been made to the family members of the three victims and the police department is keeping them updated on the investigation.
Witnesses stated that the shots were fired from a vehicle that was parked at Woodbine Avenue and Bristol Pike.
After the shooting, the vehicle then fled the scene at a high rate of speed northbound on Bristol Pike.
The investigation involves the Bensalem Township Police Department, the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office, and the Bensalem Township School District.
"We are utilizing all resources at our disposal to identify and arrest any persons who may be involved in this shooting and homicide," police said.
The Bensalem Township School District is assisting any students or staff who may be affected by this tragedy. Police ask that parents and guardians speak to their children and utilize the available resources if they suspect that they need help coping with this tragedy.

Police said anyone can also provide an anonymous tip at bucks.crimewatchpa.com/bensalempd.
"We will follow up on any information and leads that are provided," police said. "This is a very active investigation. No further information will be released at this time."
The Bensalem Police Department will release more information as it becomes available.
