The Bensalem Economic Development Corporation raised $13,250 for local nonprofits at its 20th Annual Charity Golf Challenge.

Bensalem Township, PA — The Bensalem Economic Development Corporation (BEDC) is announcing $13,250 in giving for local nonprofit organizations that serve the Bensalem community – all raised by local golfers, sponsors, volunteers, and community leaders at the Bensalem Township Country Club on June 3 for the 20th Annual Charity Golf Challenge.
Proceeds from the event will benefit 12 local nonprofit organizations that provide vital services to children, veterans, families, individuals in recovery, food-insecure residents, animal welfare organizations, and others throughout the Bensalem community. This year’s beneficiaries are Libertae Bensalem, Police Activities League, Relay For Life Bensalem, United for ALICE, Tifereth Israel Food Pantry, Love Tabernacle Food Pantry, Gary Sinise Foundation, Women's Animal Center, Rescue Purrfect, Sunshine Foundation, Bensalem Little League, and a STEM Scholarship at Bensalem High School.
"This event continues to demonstrate what can happen when the local business community comes together to support its neighbors," said Al Gougler, Chairman of the BEDC Board of Directors. "Every sponsor, golfer, volunteer, and donor played an important role in helping us raise funds that will directly benefit organizations making a difference right here in Bensalem."
