Suspect In Lower Bucks Manhunt Captured In NJ
Elovens Joseph had crashed into two Bensalem police cruisers and led authorities on a chase into Middletown Township in late February.
LOWER BUCKS COUNTY, PA —More than a month after a manhunt in which he struck two Bensalem Township police cruisers, the suspect has been captured in New Jersey, authorities said.
Elovens Joseph, 33, of Trenton, N.J., was taken into custody last Thursday by U.S. Marshals' New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force in Somerdale, N.J.
Court records show that Joseph is charged with aggravated assault by vehicle, criminal use of a communications facility, drug charges, and other offenses.

In late February, the Bensalem Township Police Department was investigating the report of suspicious activity near the 3600 block of Street Road.
As officers attempted to contact the suspect, Joseph fled in his vehicle at a high rate of speed and struck two police vehicles, Bensalem Police said. There were no injuries.

The suspect was operating a white Mercedes SUV which was later recovered, unoccupied, in the area of West Highland Avenue and Hulmeville Ave in Langhorne Manor.
Officers from multiple jurisdictions established a perimeter and a search was conducted utilizing K9s with negative results.
Bensalem Township Police issued an arrest warrant for Joseph following the manhunt.
The other charges include one count to manufacture, deliver or possess with intent to deliver a controlled substance, one count of criminal use of a communication facility, one count of fleeing and attempting to elude a police officer, and one count of simple assault.
