• This 10-acre European-style Christmas Market in a town called 'Christmas City USA' returns for its 34th year this November (secretnyc.co) — Bethlehem's Christkindlmarkt returns this year, turning 10 acres at SteelStacks into a massive European-style Christmas village from November 13 to December 20. Locals can browse over 200 artisans, enjoy German-inspired food and mulled drinks, rent cozy igloos, and catch live entertainment, all against the dramatic backdrop of the illuminated Bethlehem Steel blast furnaces.
   

• Firefighter hospitalized in blaze that tore through Pa. row homes, displacing 16 (pennlive.com) — Bethlehem firefighters helped Allentown crews battle a four-alarm row-home fire that displaced 16 residents and led to one firefighter being hospitalized with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The overnight blaze on South Saint Cloud Street forced the evacuation of about 45 people, with the American Red Cross now assisting and investigators still working to determine the cause.
