Thomas H. Sitarik, 70, of Prospect, formerly of Cecil, died Wednesday evening, Dec. 21, 2011, in his home.
He was born July 4, 1941, in Oakdale, son of the late Thomas H. and Helen Wurm Sitarik.
Mr. Sitarik was a member of St. Christopher’s at the Lake Roman Catholic Church.

He was a U.S. Army veteran and belonged to the American Legion in Cecil Township, Washington County.
Mr. Sitarik was self-employed and retired as an electrician from Sitarik Contracting Co.

He loved his family and grandchildren. He enjoyed living in the country, where his hobbies where tractors, old cars, farming, auctions, antiques and cutting grass. He taught grandchildren to drive on their long lane and how to fish and gave them tractor and wagon rides.
Surviving are his wife of 20 years, Patricia A. Sitarik, whom he married December 14, 1991; two sons, Tommy E. (Tracy) Sitarik of Beaver and Matthew Sitarik of Akron, Ohio; three granddaughters, Ashley, Chelsea and Abby Sitarik; two sisters, Eileen (Bill) Whitfield of Oldsmar, Fla., and Jeanne (Tony) Rausch of Middletown, N.J.; brother Edward Sitarik of Cecil; and many nieces and nephews.
Also surviving are Mrs. Sitarik’s children, Michelle (Michael) Gazarik of Yorktown, Va., N. Joseph Vaccarello of Harmony, N. John (Michelle) Vaccarello of Cranberry Township; and seven grandchildren, David, Kelly and Sean Gazarik, Alexx, Joanna and Nicholas Vaccarello, and Maresa Vaccarello.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Edward L. Raisley Funeral Home, 387 Main Street, Prospect. A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 28, in St. Christopher’s at the Lake Roman Catholic Church, Prospect. Father Joseph Feltz will officiate.
Entombment with military honors will be in Butler County Memorial Park Cemetery, Butler.
