Arrests Made At Massive Germantown Gathering Sunday: Police
When police tried to disperse the crowd, rocks and insults started being hurled at police, according to reports.

PHILADELPHIA – Two people were arrested as a result of Philadelphia Police attempting to break up a massive gathering at a Germantown recreation center Sunday, Aug. 6, police said.
Police said two people at the large gathering were arrested for criminal mischief and failure to disperse.
Officers responded to the Lonnie Young Recreation Center in the 1100 block of East Chelten Avenue Sunday at about 10 p.m.

When police attempted to disperse the large crowd, some of those present began hurling rocks and insults at officers, according to CBS Philadelphia.
In mid July, a similar incident occurred where bottles were thrown at police trying to break up a large gathering in Germantown.

CBS reports no one was injured in the Aug. 6 incident.
