Forbidden 10k

Friends
of the Wissahickon’s Forbidden 10K will be attracting the serious runner as
well as the occasional runner/walker and families.  Wissahickon Park is a popular destination for
many of the Tri-State area runners, with over 35% of the million+ park users
reporting they jog or run in the Wissahickon. The objective of this race is to
raise money for the continued preservation and restoration of the historic
Valley Green Inn and Wissahickon Park. 
The course is a 10k loop along Forbidden Drive. Participants will pass
many historic points of interest including the Thomas Mill Covered Bridge,
Tedyuscung (Indian Statue) and the Valley Green Inn.  All entrants receive a race packet and bag
that will be filled with sponsor information, promo items and a t-shirt.  M and F awards for various age groups.  Cost is $40.
