Free Film Series Continues at UU
Church of the Restoration



Continuing
in March and April, the Unitarian Universalist Church of the Restoration will
present a series of films featuring some of the great battles for justice and
equality in American history. These films will be shown on 2nd and 4th
Wednesdays, beginning at 6:00 PM.



On Wednesday March 12:



“Inside
Job”---The Oscar winning documentary, which tells the real story of how Wall
Street stole trillions from the American people and crashed our economy,
producing the global financial crisis in 2008.

On Wednesday March 26:



“Walmart
-The High Price of Low Cost”--- A documentary of Walmart’s assault on families
an American values. “The High Price of Low Cost” uncovers a company short on
scruples and long on shabby treatment of people who work for them.

On Wednesday, April 9:



“A Force
More Powerful” --- A history of non-violent action in the 20th
Century, featuring Mahatma Gandhi in India, the lunch counter sit-ins in the US,
and the South African fight against apartheid.



On Wednesday April 23:



“Fighting
Back” and “Our Schools are not for Sale” --- A view from the front lines of the
fight to integrate Little Rock, Arkansas’s 
Central High School from the “Eyes on the Prize Series”. And, a short
film on Philadelphia’s teachers, parents, students, and communities who are
fighting for public schools.



Restoration
Church is located at 6900 Stenton Avenue (corner Gorgas Lane) in Philadelphia,
PA. Admission is free and refreshments
will be served prior to the movies.
