Featured December Artist is Bethany Brooks, with sacred music from her "Quarry Street Hymnal" project and even some Christmas carols!

Quarry Street Hymnal is a sacred music project of Bethany Brooks,

classical pianist (MMus, Royal Academy of Music, London) and keyboard

player and vocalist of the Philadelphia roots music scene (Wissahickon

Chicken Shack, Joe D’Amico Band, The Great Unknown). A life-long

hymn-lover, Bethany began writing new music for old hymn texts in 1997.

Quarry Street Hymnal, Volume 1, the first studio recording of this

material, was produced by Jeff Hiatt at Turtle Studios. The arrangements

and the rotating cast of eleven fellow-musicians draw from her numerous

folk music collaborations and her alter ego as a classical pianist and

chamber musician.
