"The 2nd Annual Bucks County Spa and Salon Self-Care Month was created to connect the residents of our Bucks County community with local businesses who provide amazing services while raising funds for the non-profit Kin Wellness and Support Center," said Fenimore. "The month-long program (May 6 to June 6) is a showcase for preeminent local Spas, Med-Spas and Salons to gain exposure to potential new clients, while allowing both new and existing clients to book an appointment and participate in supporting community members battling cancer.

Kin is an all-inclusive 5,000 square foot retreat, offering support, fitness, therapy, and integrative services. It is inspired by Bucks County resident Corinne Sikora, who battled both brain and breast cancer. The center is free to Bucks County residents battling cancer regardless of where they are receiving treatment and welcomes caregivers as well. Kin also cares for oncology healthcare workers as part of its total 360-care model.

Free programs include nutrition, yoga, fitness, one-on-one counseling, support groups, workshops, massage, facials, reflexology, reiki, chiropractic, and acupuncture. Kin is a unique center that looks to satisfy the emotional, social, and physical needs of cancer patients. The success of Kin is made possible through generous donations from the local Bucks County community.

Kin’s mission is to help people find calm and peace and center themselves in a restorative environment. The non-profit strives to bring people to a place where they feel empowered to manage their diagnoses through treatment, recovery and beyond. Kin caresfor the patients, the caregivers and the healthcare workers. Kin is run and operated through the non-profit Main St. Missions Corp. Its official healthcare sponsors are Fox Chase Buckingham, Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic/St. Mary Medical Center and Grand View Health.
