Bucks County Named No. 1 Fall Foliage Destination In The Nation

Priceline developed a list of the top foliage destinations based on an analysis of its internal search volume data.

BUCKS COUNTY, PA — Bucks County has been named the No. 1 leaf peeping destination in the nation for 2024, according to a search analysis compiled by Priceline, an online travel agency, and as featured nationally and internationally in Travel + Leisure, Forbes, and UK Yahoo! Finance.

Priceline developed its list of the top foliage destinations based on an analysis of its internal search volume data. Bucks County quickly rose to the top of its list as the most searched fall destination, beating out the more traditional foliage hot spots in New England and upstate New York.

From the charming shops of Peddler’s Village to the historic streets of New Hope, Bucks County offers a variety of ways to experience fall foliage, according to Visit Bucks County, the nonprofit that markets and promotes the best of Bucks County.

Visitors and residents annually enjoy family-friendly events like The Count’s Halloween Spooktacular, spending a day at Shady Brook Farm, or walks along the Delaware Canal Towpath.

Other popular destinations include the scenic grounds of Fonthill Castle, a climb to the top of Bowman's Tower to see the autumn landscape from above and apple and pumpkin picking at an array of farms and markets throughout the county, not to mention a trip to one of the county's many covered bridges framed in a canvas of color.

Bucks County is the ideal place to experience the fall season, according to Visit Bucks County, offering a variety of restaurants serving seasonal and farm-to-table cuisine. Popular activities include hiking, scenic drives, and exploring the area's quaint towns, all set against a backdrop of brilliant autumn colors.

And don't forget to visit the Michener Art Museum in Doylestown where visitors can see works captured on canvas and inspired by the awe-inspiring colors of autumn in Bucks County.
