"Sometimes it's not only about how a prospect performs on the summer showcase circuit, but how he adjusts," says the Dodgers' Scouting report. "While Harlan, the best position player in Pennsylvania for the 2024 Draft, showed off some intriguing offensive tools at a variety of events like the East Coast Pro Showcase, the Area Code Games and the Perfect Game WWBA World Championship in September, it was how he changed some things and adopted over the course of all those events that had scouts excited, though some were concerned that he appeared less athletic and flexible this spring.
"Harlan is a big, strong, physically mature corner infielder with some serious pop," the report continues. "He had more of a power-over-hit profile, with a little more strength than pure bat speed, but there is some belief the bat might eventually catch up with the raw power."
