Central Bucks Schools Closed Friday
Teachers will prepare distance learning plans Friday in the event of a district-wide closure amid the coronavirus outbreak.
DOYLESTOWN, PA — All Central Bucks School District schools will be closed Friday so teachers can prepare distance learning plans in the event of a district-wide closure amid the coronavirus outbreak, the district announced Thursday evening.
As of Thursday afternoon, Pennsylvania has 21 cases of the virus, also known as COVID-19. All schools in Montgomery County, where there are 13 cases as of Thursday, have been closed by order of Governor Tom Wolf. Several districts in Bucks County have announced Friday closures, including Council Rock.

The number of cases of the illness continues to rise. The World Health Organization on Wednesday officially declared the outbreak a pandemic.
