Doylestown Council Resolves To Support Medical Marijuana: Report
Doylestown wants Pennsylvania to legalize medical marijuana.

The Doylestown Borough Council voted 6-3 on Monday for a resolution which would support the legalization of medical marijuana in Pennsylvania, according to a report in The Intelligencer.
Doylestown is the the third Bucks County municipality to urge state lawmakers to legalize marijuana for medical uses, the Intelligencer reported.
Council members Joan Doyle, Jack O’Brien and Joseph Flood voted against the measure, citing a lack of research and saying that medical experts don’t agree on the benefits of medical marijuana, the report states.

Doylestown joins Penndel and Sellersville as local communities urging the state house to pass the bill into law.
In May, a medical cannabis bill, Senate Bill 3, passed the state senate.

Under the bill, Pennsylvania residents would be eligible to be treated with medical cannabis for a wide variety of illnesses, including cancer, epilepsy, seizures, multiple sclerosis, HIV/AIDS, chronic pain, diabetes, and many others.
